2 elderly residents found frozen to death in Henderson County
HENDERSON COUNTY, Tenn. — The Tennessee Department of Health confirmed Thursday that Tennessee already has 13 deaths related to this weekend’s storms.

The storms not only impacted local streets, but also caused major power outages in our area.
Mayor Robbie McCready of Henderson County shared the loss of two of his residents on Thursday in a Facebook post.
“Check on your neighbors, we had two fatalities in Henderson County within the past 24 hours, two of those, that we were notified about, were elderly found frozen so keep them in your prayers, so I’m coming to you, to tell you, to check on your neighbors,” said McCready.

The 65-year-old man was found in the southwest part of the county in an RV. Henderson County is investigating a second death that appears to also be weather related.

Captain Tracey Grisham, with the Henderson County Sheriffs Office, advises people in the community to call if you have concerns about your neighbor’s safety.
“The only other advice I could give, if there’s any doubt in your mind, call. It doesn’t hurt for us to go over there and see that they’re okay and we’d rather find them if something was wrong, before it’s absolutely too late,” said Grisham.
TDH confirmed three deaths in Davidson County, two in Cheatham, two in Hardin, and two in Obion. Heywood, Hickman, and Knox each each have one death.
Previous reports stated a weather related fatality in Crockett County, but that fatality has been determined to have not been related to weather
With temperatures continuing to trend low, officials urge everyone in the community to be careful and check in on your neighbors.
