Fire Department warns about wall heaters
HARDIN COUNTY, Tenn. – The Hardin County Fire Department said it responded to multiple house fires on Wednesday that were caused by old wall heaters.
The department is asking anyone that has the older model wall heaters to ensure they are disconnected as power is restored.
Attention ! 1-28-26 Please be sure your old electric wall heaters are disconnected at the breaker box! We have responded to 3 house fires today where these came on right after TVEC turned the power back on. Even in the off position these will come on when the room temperature gets down to around 45 degrees
