In his eyes, there was no room for nonsense—just a straightforward approach to life paired with an unyielding commitment to his loved ones. His joys were simple yet profound: boating on warm summer days and basking in the sunshine. Above all, his heart was filled with love for his children and grandchildren, whom he cherished deeply. The bond he shared with each of them was a testament to his remarkable spirit; the memories created will be cherished forever.

Horace leaves behind a loving family that includes his son, Dylan Cook (Chloe), and daughters, Macey Trimmer (Ty), Josey Parrish (Tyler), and Samantha Hickerson (Stephen). He also had three brothers and four sisters who will miss him dearly. His legacy continues through his eight adoring grandchildren and the wonderful news of a great-grandchild on the way.

He is preceded in death by his father, Horace Monroe Cook, Sr., his mother, Anna Ruth Cook, and a sister, who together now welcome him with open arms. As we remember Horace, we celebrate the incredible man he was—a pillar of strength, love, and compassion who left an indelible mark on the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
