More than 900 people visit Old Country Store for snow storm special

JACKSON, Tenn. — After several days of being snowed in, iced over, and forced to stay home, Brooks Shaw has come to an official conclusion: cabin fever is real.

That’s why in a very generous decision, Brooks Shaw’s Old Country Store rolled out a one-day buffet special.

For Thursday only, the full lunch and dinner buffet was dropped from $17.99 to $9.99.

As an extended thank you, there are discounts through the weekend for those who have stepped up during this winter storm by providing crucial services.

“We had originally planned a City of Jackson employee special for this week of course, that got snowed out. We’re extending that through to Sunday and we’re adding in TDOT and JEA employees in that as well. 20% off the buffet any meal they’d like to come in. People can find more information on our Facebook page,” said Shaw.

Thursday the Old Country Store had more than 900 guests come through the buffet for lunch and dinner.
