Elvis Glidwell

Elvis Glidwell, age 58, passed away on January 25, 2026, in Brownsville, TN. Born on December 21, 1967, in Humboldt, TN, Elvis spent his life dedicated to both his family and his career in the floorcovering business.  Memorial Services will be held on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Christ Church. A visitation will be held from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM prior to the service.

Elvis was a proud father of two daughters, Kaitlyn Glidwell and Felicia Glidwell, both of Alamo, TN. He was also a beloved grandfather to his grandson, A.K. (Asiah) Buchanan, who fondly referred to him as “Pop Pop.” His family was everything to him, and he treasured the moments spent creating lifelong memories with them, especially enjoying time outdoors and fishing, as well as playing cards.

Elvis is survived by his father, James Glidwell (Kathy) of Milan, TN, and his mother, Pat Culp of Brownsville, TN. He is also survived by his brothers: Robert Glidwell (Tee’Jay), Carl Glidwell (Tammy), Steve Glidwell, and David Glidwell (LuWanna). Adding to the joy of his family legacy, he was looking forward to welcoming a granddaughter in the very near future.  Elvis was preceded in death by his brother, Tracy Glidwell.

He will be remembered for his spirit, kindness, and the joy he brought to family gatherings. Elvis will be missed by all those that knew him.  All arrangements and services are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home.
