JPD arrests 16-year-old male in connection to Jack’s shooting

PRESS RELEASE FROM THE JACKSON POLICE DEPARTMENT:

JACKSON, Tenn. —  The Jackson Police Department has identified and arrested a 16-year-old male for the shooting which occurred at Jack’s restaurant, 3180 North Highland Ave, on February 2, 2026.

PREVIOUS COVERAGE: Investigation continues after suspect allegedly fired into Jack’s restaurant

Investigators located the suspect vehicle using the Flock camera system. After identifying the juvenile suspect, investigators conducted a search of his North Jackson residence, where they recovered evidence connecting him to the shooting.

The juvenile has been formally charged with attempted first-degree murder, 2 counts of aggravated assault, and employing a firearm during a dangerous felony. He is currently being held at the Jackson Madison County Juvenile Detention Center awaiting a hearing date which has not been set as of yet.
