Tina Mercer announces candidacy for Madison County Commissioner

JACKSON, Tenn. — Tina Mercer has announced she will be running for the office of Madison County Commissioner to represent District 1, Position 1.

For 48 years, the seat was held by her father, the late Luther Mercer.

In December 2025, the Madison County Commission appointed to Tina to occupy her father’s vacated seat and finish his term through August 2026.

This seat is up for re-election. Local elections will take place on May 5, 2026 and August 6, 2026.
