Pinson Mounds State Archaeological Park announces Feb. events
PINSON, Tenn.—Pinson Mounds State Archaeological Park is offering several programs for the month of February.
Pinson Mounds will host some indoor and outdoor activities this month to get guests involved and active.

These Ranger led events are perfect for the family to enjoy.
- February 13 and 20 (2 – 3 p.m.) Cart Tour – Learn about Pinson Mounds while enjoying a cart ride visiting Sauls Mound, Ozier Mound, Twin Mounds, and more.
- February 14 and 21 (11 a.m. – 12 p.m.) Swamp Friends – Come to the museum theater to learn about some of the unique species that inhabit Pinson Mounds’ Swamps. Also meet a few of the swamp friends including Sakima the Kingsnake, and Frankie the Red-Eared Slider with Ranger Claire.
- February 28, (8 – 9:30 p.m.) Stargazing at Pinson Mounds – Come enjoy the night sky with the Rangers of Pinson Mounds. This event takes place in front of Saul’s mound to learn about stargazing during the Woodland period.
