RIFA celebrates its 50th anniversary with birthday party

JACKSON, Tenn. — One local non-profit celebrated a huge milestone Thursday, and everyone was invited.  RIFA celebrated its 50th anniversary with the community.  Attendee’s enjoyed birthday treats, photo opportunities, and other festive surprises.  RIFA was established as the Regional Inter-Faith Association back in 1976.  They were originally located in Jones Hall at the old Union University in Downtown Jackson until they moved to their current location in 2012.

“We also like to thank the community for coming alongside us and supporting the work that we do because as cliché as it sounds, we really could not do what we do without the community. Both from a donor standpoint and from volunteering,” said Lisa Tillman, executive director at RIFA.
