Terry Moody Sr. announces candidacy for Henderson County Sheriff

PRESS RELEASE FROM TERRY MOODY SR.:

HENDERSON COUNTY, Tenn. — Terry Moody Sr. has announced his candidacy for Henderson County Sheriff.

I am proud to formally announce my candidacy for Henderson County Sheriff in the upcoming 2026 election.

My name is Terry Moody Sr., and I am a lifelong resident of Henderson County. Before entering law enforcement, I was a small business owner and operated a local restaurant for several years. That experience allowed me to serve our community in a meaningful way and taught me the value of hard work, accountability, and putting people first.

I began my law enforcement career in 2009 as a Reserve Deputy for Henderson County. I quickly discovered a true calling in public service and was soon hired by the Henderson County Sheriff’s Department as a Court Security Officer. I later served as a Patrol Deputy, was promoted to Sergeant, and currently have the honor of serving as a School Resource Officer.

Throughout my career, I have been committed to protecting and serving the citizens of Henderson County with integrity, fairness, and respect. If elected Sheriff, my goal is to lead with our citizens and community first, serve with transparency, and remain honest and accountable in every decision. I believe strong law enforcement is built on trust, open communication, and working together to keep our community safe.

I am truly grateful to serve the county I call home, and I humbly ask for your consideration and support to be your Sheriff. I look forward to meeting and listening to as many of our great citizens as possible in the months ahead.

Please feel free to reach out to me at any time tmoodysr1@yahoo.com
