Charlotte Sue McCoy Hudson
Charlotte Sue McCoy Hudson, age 75, born on June 12, 1950, in Madison County, TN, passed away peacefully at her home on February 8, 2026. She is remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother, whose greatest joy was spending time with her family. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at 2:00 PM, at the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home with Bro. Terry Logan officiating. Burial will follow at the Zion Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM as well as Sunday, February 15, 2026, from 1:00 PM until time of service at the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home.
Charlotte’s career spanned many years in Quality Control within the industrial business. Outside her professional life, she was a woman of many talents and interests. An excellent cook, she created countless meals filled with love. She enjoyed gardening and growing flowers. She especially enjoyed the hummingbirds that the flowers attracted. Additionally, she found pleasure in frequent visits to the Tennessee River, where she could relish the beauty of nature.
Her family was her cornerstone, and she leaves behind a loving husband of 41 years, William Hudson, of Brownsville, TN, who will carry forward her legacy of love and kindness. Charlotte is survived by her sons, James “Tommy” Williams (Connie) of Brownsville, TN; Ronald Dale Etheridge (Kristen) of Newbern, TN; and Joe Williams, Jr. of Dresden, TN. Her daughters, Stacey Williams of Dresden, TN, and Brandi Jones (Jason) of Winchester, TN, along with her brother, Joe McCoy, and sisters, Carolyn Buddie (Don) and Kay Doolin (Mike), also survive her. She was a proud grandmother to 13 grandchildren and a great-grandmother to 13 great-grandchildren. Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, James Edward and Audrey Hampton McCoy, as well as her brothers, Larry McCoy and David McCoy.
Pallbearers for the service are Dakota Jones, Will Etheridge, Haynes Williams, Sean Moody, Douglas Jeter and Willie Jones.
Honorary Pallbearers are William Thomas Jones and Andy Smith.
