Humboldt Middle School boys basketball team get sent off to state tournament
We start things off out of Humboldt.
As their middle school boys basketball team
is heading to the state tournament. The Humboldt
community, along with friends, family and the school
gathered to send them off. This Vikings team has shown
the ability to show up in clutch situations along with
being physical and having a presence on the defensive end.
We spoke with their head coach and he talked about the morale
around the team and what they have to do to win it all.
“We feel really good. The kids are excited the school excited they went a couple years ago this is the
first time they been in about four or five years. You know as long as our guys are kinda locked in
and focused i believe that they will step up and we will run our stuff and do what we asking them
to do as hard as they can. So you got two games no matter what were either going be 0-2,
1-1, or 2-0 so I think they’re ready.”

They will have to go through the likes of Bolivar Central and other teams to
capture the gold ball.
