JACKSON, Tenn.–Local candidates met Tuesday evening to share their goals for the future of Madison County.
Many candidates spoke at the ‘Meet and Greet’ event to address the community face-to-face and answer questions about their plans in leading Madison County if elected.
Some of the positions on the ballot include County Commissioner, School Board member, General Sessions Judge, Sheriff and many others.
The main attraction at Tuesday evening’s event was hearing from the candidates for Madison County Mayor.
The group ‘We the People of West Tennessee’ hosted the event and told us a bit about why the candidates were there.
“To say why they’re running, and what is the most important thing they want to accomplish if they get elected, ” said Londa Rohlfling, ‘We the People’ chairwoman and host of the ‘Meet and Greet’ event.
Three of four candidates for Madison County Mayor made appearances and each had six minutes to introduce themselves and share their number one goal if elected.
