The City has historically been dedicated to investing in and partnering with local non-profit organizations that provide services and programs to the residents of Jackson. This General Appropriation Grant Application is for non-profits seeking funding through the City’s annual budget process for the upcoming fiscal year.

“Our local non-profits play a critical role in strengthening Jackson and improving quality of life for our residents. Through this competitive grant process, we’re intentional about investing in organizations that are already making a meaningful impact in our community,” said Mayor Scott Conger. “This approach ensures transparency, accountability, and responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars while allowing City Council to make informed funding decisions that maximize public benefit.”

Funding is highly competitive and is contingent upon the annual budget approval by the City Council. The purpose of this application is to gather a detailed proposal from organizations to assist the City in making informed and strategic funding decisions that maximize public benefit.

Nonprofits can find information related to the application by selecting the “Request Nonprofit Funding” link under the “How Do I?” tab on our website at www.jacksontn.gov.

The complete application, including all required attachments, must be submitted by March 15, 2026. Failure to submit a complete and timely application will result in disqualification.
