Gibson County Fire Dept., other agencies respond to structure fire
PRESS RELEASE FROM THE GIBSON COUNTY FIRE DEPARTMENT:
GIBSON COUNTY, Tenn. — Last night, February 17, at approximately 5:30 p.m., GCFD, along with GCFD Gann, station 11, Milan Fire Dept, and several other GCFD stations, was dispatched to 57 Salem Church Rd. outside of Milan for a reported structure fire.
Once on scene, first-arriving units reported that the garage was already fully involved, and the Bravo side of the structure had been exposed. The fire quickly spread to the attic, resulting in the entire structure becoming fully involved within minutes.
After several hours, the fire was brought under control and ultimately extinguished. Unfortunately, the structure could not be saved. Thankfully, all residents were accounted for, and no injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
