Hannah Clifton announces candidacy for Register of Deeds for Hardeman County

HARDEMAN COUNTY, Tenn. — Hannah Clifton has announced her candidacy for Register of Deeds for Hardeman County.

Today, I’m honored and excited to officially announce that I am running for Register of Deeds for Hardeman County in 2026 as a Republican candidate.

Hardeman County is more than where I live—it’s home. It’s where I’ve built my life, where I’m raising my family, where I am a public servant, and where I’ve formed lasting relationships with so many in our community. My faith and community values have guided my service to this county and the residents within it. My education includes obtaining my Associate of Science degree, in addition to continuing education courses in Accounting and Business Administration. I have gone on to obtain my certification with the State of Tennessee as Certified Municipal Financial Officer. I firmly believe that my experience in my education and my career have prepared me for the role of Register of Deeds.

Serving this community has never been just a job to me—it’s my calling. Public service has always been at the heart of who I am. Serving as current CMFO, notary public, and Office Administrator for the City of Middleton, I understand how important it is for our county offices to be dependable, organized, and trustworthy. The Register of Deeds office plays a vital role in protecting the records that matter so deeply to our families, our businesses, and future generations. If elected, I will make it my priority to build upon the solid foundation previously established by Mrs. Lily Barnes, making it my personal mission to preserve the integrity and exceptional service already being provided in our Register of Deeds office. I am thoroughly committed to embracing innovation by exploring continued ways of modernization of systems while carefully maintaining the traditional service and historical records our citizens value.

If given the opportunity to serve you, my promise is simple:

-Putting people first.
-Treating people with kindness and respect, no matter who you are.
-Serving the citizens of Hardeman County with professionalism and integrity every single day – no compromise.

I have already had the pleasure of speaking with so many of you. In the months ahead, I look forward to connecting with all of you, hearing your concerns and what matters most to you, and working hard to earn your support.

I would truly be honored to serve you, and do humbly ask for your prayers and vote as your next Register of Deeds for Hardeman County.
