Humboldt Senior Citizens Center celebrates Black History Month with unity theme
HUMBOLDT, Tenn. — The Humboldt Senior Citizens Center hosted its annual Black History Month celebration today, inviting community members to join in activities centered around this year’s theme of “Unity.”

The celebration featured food, singing, poems and a speech by Alderman Nicholas Graves.

“Everybody here is here because they believe in unity and that’s what we’re doing today. Our subject is unity in this world,” said Patricia Kelley, activities director at the senior citizens center.
The senior citizens center celebrates Black History Month every year in February.
