Kim Bienash announced run for McNairy County Mayor
SELMER, Tenn. — Kim Bienash has announced his campaign for McNairy County mayor.
Kim Bienash has announced he is running for McNairy County Mayor in the 2026 election, saying he wants to continue serving the county he calls home with honesty, common sense, and a strong work ethic.
Bienash currently serves as McNairy County Archives Director and as a County Commissioner. Through those roles, he says he has seen firsthand what works in county government, what does not, and where improvements can be made.
“I care deeply about McNairy County and the people who live here,” Bienash said. “I am running for county mayor because I believe our county needs leadership that is accessible, responsible, and rooted in the values of this community.”
Bienash describes himself as a conservative who believes in limited government, fiscal responsibility, and smart growth that protects local families.
“I believe in growing our county through economic development and industry, not through higher taxes,” he said. “Taxpayers deserve to know their money is being handled carefully, and I will always work to be responsible with public funds.”
He also stressed the importance of transparency and communication between county government and the public.
“People deserve to understand what their county government is doing and why,” Bienash said. “I want citizens to feel heard, respected, and confident that their county government is working for them.”
Bienash said he is committed to serving his full term if elected and to leading with integrity, fairness, and respect for the office.
The McNairy County Republican Primary will be held on May 5, 2026. The general election will take place on August 6, 2026.
