West Tennessee Healthcare celebrates 1 year of hybrid atrial fibrillation program
JACKSON, Tenn. — West Tennessee Healthcare is marking the one-year anniversary of its hybrid atrial fibrillation program at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

The program launched one year ago and has transformed atrial fibrillation treatment across West Tennessee through a coordinated, multi-disciplinary approach. Patients have experienced reduced stroke risk and improved quality of life over the past 12 months.

The program brings together expert cardiologists, cardio-thoracic surgeons and specialized care teams to treat patients with atrial fibrillation.
“It’s a testament to the success we’ve been having. Folks are feeling better, and they are happy about it,” Cardiothoracic Surgeon Dr. Ted Wright said. “These folks probably would’ve stayed home and not done anything at all, but because they’re feeling better, they are coming out to events like this. It is also excellent to have the team members come, because it truly is a team effort.”
West Tennessee Healthcare hosted an event to celebrate the program’s first anniversary and its commitment to excellence and innovation in cardiac care. The event was open to patients, family members, healthcare professionals and community members.
