Pet of the Week: Tara
This week’s Pet of the Week from Tipton County Animal Shelter is Tara.
Meet Tara! Your loyal, brilliant best friend!
Tara is an approximately 4½-year-old Aussie mix with the perfect blend of intelligence, devotion, and playful energy. True to her herding roots, she is incredibly smart and eager to learn. She already knows “sit” and would absolutely thrive in a home that enjoys continuing her training and giving her mental challenges.
Tara is dog-friendly and genuinely loves her people. She bonds closely with her humans and will happily be your shadow, adventure buddy and couch companion, all in one.
Because of her herding breed instincts, Tara would do best in a home with:
- A securely fenced yard where she can safely stretch her legs.
- Older children who understand and respect her space.
- No cats, as she can be unsure around them.
Tara will be spayed upon receipt of an approved adoption application, ensuring she is fully ready to start her next chapter.
She’s looking for a structured, loving home that will appreciate her sharp mind, loyal heart, and active spirit.
If you’re ready to add a devoted, intelligent companion to your family, Tara may be your perfect match.
To adopt Tara, please contact Lee Riley or Amber Smith by calling (901) 837-5919.
Tipton County Animal Shelter also has an online adoption application at www.tiptonco.com.
