Mostly Sunny, But Cold And Windy (Flurries?)

Weather Update: Monday, February 23 —

Good morning West Tennessee. A very cold day is on the way as modified arctic air continues draining across the Midwest and into the Midsouth. The large trough, same one associated with the deepening/strengthening Nor’easter that is currently burying the Mid Atlantic and New England states this morning. we are in the cold conveyor belt. Temps are in the low 20s this morning, but the apparent temps are in the low to mid teens to start. Overall, we’ll see plenty of sunshine today, but the wind will be an issue all day. In fact, if you live downwind of a lake or body of water, its possible you’ll see a few flurries today. It won’t really amount to much, but it might surprise you. I thought id at least mention it.
Skycast North Today Test
Tonight/Tuesday:
The parent trough will start to lift away as it’s gradually replaced by ridging from the west. Before we feel it though, we’ll have another very cold morning on Tuesday. Clear skies, less wind and arctic high pressure influence will activate the radiational cooling engine, rather efficient at that. Expect actual low temperatures 18-21°F.
