Family offers reward of up to $1M for recovery of Nancy Guthrie

(Gray News) – Savannah Guthrie said in a video post on Instagram Tuesday morning that the family is offering up to a $1 million reward to anyone who can help bring Nancy Guthrie home.

Nancy Guthrie is the mother of “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie.

The 84-year-old was taken from her home in the Catalina Foothills neighborhood of Tucson, Arizona on Jan. 31.

The FBI said she is considered to be a vulnerable adult who has difficulty walking, has a pacemaker and needs daily medication for a heart condition.

“Every hour and minute and second and every long night has been agony since then,” Savannah Guthrie said.

The FBI is also offering a reward of up to $100,000 for information leading to the location of Nancy Guthrie and/or the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in her disappearance.

“We also know that she may be lost. She may already be gone. She may have already gone home with the Lord that she loves and is dancing in Heaven,” Savannah Guthrie said. “But we need to know where she is.”

Photos and video of the masked person seen on Nancy Guthrie’s doorstep were released by the FBI on Feb. 10.

The Guthrie family is also donating $500,000 to the National Center for Missing and Exploiting Children.

“We know we are not alone in our loss. We know there are millions of families who have suffered with uncertainty,” Savannah Guthrie said.

Savnnah Guthrie said she hopes the attention that has been given to them will extend to all families who are experiencing a missing family member.
