Paula Brown, age 59, of Brownsville, TN, passed away at her home on February 23, 2026. Born on June 30, 1966, in Brownsville, Paula was a remarkable woman who dedicated her life to her family and cherished the memories they created together. A memorial gathering in honor of Paula Brown will take place on February 27, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home, located at 1280 S Dupree Ave, Brownsville, TN 38012.

Paula was employed by Two Way Gin, where she devoted her time and effort faithfully. Beyond her professional life, she found joy in various activities. Paula enjoyed gardening, she loved to watch soap operas—especially “The Young and the Restless”—and her cooking skills always brought her family together around the dinner table.

Paula had a profound love for her family, often expressing her feelings with the heartfelt words, “I love you more than all the trees in Tennessee.” Although she may have been a little lady, her strength was undeniable, and she was unwavering in her commitment to ensuring her loved ones were taken care of.

Paula is survived by her devoted husband, Mike Brown, of Burlison, TN, and her children: Marshall Hendrix, Douglas Jeter (Tabitha) of Brownsville, TN, and Mikey Brown of Marked Tree, AR, along with her daughter, Lacey Jeter of Burlison, TN. She also leaves behind her brothers, Marcial Hendrix (Janet) of Covington, TN, Tommy Ferrell (Reese) of Brownsville, TN, and Lloyd Ferrell (Rena) of Lexington, TN, as well as her sister, Christie King of Maury City, TN.

Paula was a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren: Zachery Jeter, Madison Hendrix, Hayden Jeter, Paris Bell, Jacon Bell, Taylor Hendrix, Courtney Bell, and Lemuel Hendrix. She was also the loving great-grandmother to two great-grandchildren, Houston Jeter and Olivia Jeter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin Odell and Elle McPherson Hendrix, as well as her brothers, Tom Hendrix, Melvin Hendrix, Terry Ferrell, and Michael Ferrell, and her sisters, Bonnie Jo Fuqua, Sandy Case, and Janice Leek. Paula was also predeceased by her great grandchild, Bo Jeter.

Paula’s legacy of love and strength will forever remain in the hearts of those she cherished. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
