Brownsville event honors first responders
BROWNSVILLE, Tenn. — There was an event dedicated to honoring first responders Friday afternoon. The event was held at the Brownsville National Guard Armory.
John Rose, an upcoming candidate for Governor of Tennessee and one of Friday’s speakers, stated he wanted to show his support and believes it is important to support our first responders.
Rose also stated the importance of first responder luncheons are to make sure that every first responder has the resources they need to carry out their duties.
William Rawls Mayor of Brownsville also stated his thanks to the first responders for their work, and wanted to give them recognition for the work they put out during the winter storm in January.
“Well it’s a great crowd, and so it’s affirming to see all these folks out today. Know that we are acknowledging them for all the service they give to people of this state and this county. And hopefully gratifying for them to know they’re appreciated,” said John Rose, U.S. representative for Tennessee’s 6th congressional district.
They also urge the public if they see a first responder, to take the time to thank them.
