Madison County Sheriff’s Office K9 receives donation of body armor
MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. – The Madison County Sheriff’s Office is proud to announce that K9 Plik will receive a bullet and stab protective vest thanks to a generous charitable donation from Vested Interest in K9s , Inc.
The vest, sponsored by Vested Interest in K9s, Inc., will be embroidered with the sentiment: “Honoring those who served and sacrificed.” Delivery is expected within the next ten weeks.
Established in 2009, Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) charity dedicated to providing bullet and stab protective vests and assistance to law enforcement K9s nationwide. These U.S.-made, custom-fitted vests are National Institute of Justice (NIJ) certified and have a value of approximately $1,800 each. Since its inception, the organization has provided more than 6,348 vests valued at $6.9 million to K9s in all 50 states through private and corporate donations.
