3 US service members killed, 5 ‘seriously wounded’ in Iran operation

(Gray News) – Three service members have been killed and five were “seriously wounded” in the Iran operation, according to U.S. Central Command.

U.S. Central Command made the announcement Sunday, but did not provide additional information.

“Several others sustained minor shrapnel injuries and concussions — and are in the process of being returned to duty,” CENTCOM said in the update. “Major combat operations continue and our response effort is ongoing.”

The identities of the service members have not been released.

U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iran continued Sunday after the killing of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
