Chick-fil-A makes changes to its fries again
(Gray News) – Chick-fil-A has made a change to its fries, again.
A representative for the restaurant chain confirmed to People that its popular waffle fries no longer contain pea starch.
At the end of 2024, the fast-food chain announced that it would make “a slight adjustment” to its fries by adding pea starch to the coating.
The adjustment was supposed to make the fries stay crispier for longer while removing nine major allergens.
After making the changes in 2024, customers expressed dissatisfaction on social media, describing the new fries as “terrible” and “sooo gross.”
One user posted, “Chick-fil-A new fries are horrible. Please switch back!”
Now, the customer support page on the company’s website now reads, “Does your Waffle Fry recipe contain Pea Starch? No.”
The chain has also updated the ingredients on its website to eliminate pea starch.
