Refresh Ministries celebrates its grand opening weekend
JACKSON, Tenn.—A new church celebrates its grand opening in Jackson this weekend.
Refresh Ministries located at 213 West Main Street, (Unit D) in Jackson, may not look like a typical house of worship from the outside. But pass through the doors and find the space is filled with faith, love, and spiritual blessings.
The church hosted a ribbon cutting Saturday at noon to mark its official opening in the city, that is…. under its new name.
The ministry has been around for 12 years but was recently renamed to something the founders say ‘people can not only remember but connect with as well.’
They also tell us the church’s motto is simple, ‘Return, Repent, and Refresh,’ a reminder of what a house of faith should provide for its congregation.
At 2 p.m., guests were invited to join the Sunday worship service. Pastors James and Sylvia Barlow were delighted to welcome old friends as well as new faces.
“It was just the work of all of the members and we just thank God for the membership that he has blessed us with. We had to learn how to put a demand on God and when we put a demand on God, God answered. We’re just so thankful that God has entrusted us to be able to do this work, this ministry, this church for the community,” Pastor James Barlow said.
If you are interested in attending Refresh Ministries, services are held every Sunday at 2 p.m.
