Woman struck by vehicle outside Jackson restaurant, suspect in custody
PRESS RELEASE FROM THE JACKSON POLICE DEPARTMENT:
JACKSON, Tenn. — The Jackson Police Department is investigating an aggravated assault that occurred early Sunday morning.
On March 8, 2026, at approximately 3:50 a.m., officers with the Jackson Police Department responded to a report of a disturbance in the parking lot of King Baba’s restaurant, located at 76 Old Hickory Boulevard East.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that a female victim had been struck by a vehicle. Officers also observed additional physical altercations occurring at the location and at nearby businesses.
During the investigation, officers were able to take a female suspect into custody in connection with the aggravated assault. She was transported to the Madison County CJC.
The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. She was treated and later released.
Investigators are also aware of videos circulating on social media that appear to show portions of the incident. Members of the Major Crimes Division are reviewing those videos as part of the ongoing investigation.
