TBI manhunt for Danell Maxwell continues as search expands to multiple states
The search for Tennessee Blue Alert and Tennessee Most Wanted suspect Danell Maxwell remains ongoing, according to investigators.
Authorities believe Maxwell may have left the area and could now be in Arkansas, Louisiana, Georgia or Iowa. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is asking the public in those states to stay alert.
Maxwell is wanted for attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault, and employment of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony in connection with the Feb. 26 shooting of a Memphis Police officer.

Maxwell is 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighs 180 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes. Investigators have released an AI-generated image of Maxwell without facial hair, in addition to an original photo showing him with a beard, to help the public identify him. His appearance may have changed since the incident. He should be considered armed and dangerous.
A reward of up to $32,500 is being offered for information leading to Maxwell’s capture. Anyone who sees Maxwell or knows his whereabouts is asked to call TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND.
