Search warrant leads to the arrest of suspected drive by shooter

DYERSBURG, Tenn.– West TN Task Force agents assisted the Dyer Co. Sheriff’s Office in serving a search warrant Saturday. That event led to the arrest of a suspect involved in a drive by shooting in Missouri.

SEARCH WARRANT NABS SUSPECTED DRIVE BY SHOOTER, WEAPONS AND MARIJUANA

DYERSBURG, TN – Agents with the 29th district out of Dyersburg assisted by Dyer County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant in the 1000 block of Lipford Circle on Thursday pursuant to an investigation.

During the investigation, Agents discovered that the suspect had recently been released on bond from charges stemming from a recent drive by shooting in Missouri.

During the search, Agents seized two weapons, one of which is believed to have been used in the drive by. Also seized was just over a pound of marijuana, electronic scales and $574.00 in suspected drug proceeds.

One male was taken into custody and is being charged with possession of a schedule VI controlled substance with intent to sell, possession of a weapon during the commission of a dangerous felony and possession of drug paraphernalia.

This case is being prosecuted by the office of the District Attorney General, 29th Judicial District, Danny Goodman, Jr.
