WASHINGTON — Thousands of local leaders are gathering in Washington for the Congressional City Conference, where officials will exchange ideas, share best practices, and advocate for their communities.
This year’s conference centers on the theme “We the Cities: Local Governments Deliver,” with a focus on ensuring cities and towns have the tools they need to deliver services effectively and efficiently.
Key issues on the agenda
Key issues for 2026 include housing, transportation, infrastructure, and appropriations priorities. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet directly with their state representatives on Capitol Hill.
“We will be able to go tomorrow onto Capitol Hill and meet with our state representatives to talk to them about the issues that are important to our communities,” one attendee said.
