11-year-old was getting mail when he was struck by a vehicle in Crockett County, family says
CROCKETT COUNTY, Tenn. — An 11-year-old was struck by a vehicle Wednesday afternoon and airlifted to a hospital, according to the Crockett County Sheriff’s Department.
The accident occurred in the 3000 block of Highway 88 and U.S. Highway 412 in Crockett County.
According to family members, the child was getting the mail from his grandmother’s mailbox when he was struck.
Crockett County Public Information Officer Stephen Sutton said the driver remained on the scene and is fully cooperating with authorities.
