Lexington-Henderson County Farmers Market opens with ribbon cutting

LEXINGTON, Tenn. — The Lexington-Henderson County Farmers Market officially opened Friday afternoon with a ribbon cutting hosted by the local chamber of commerce.

Leaders thanked community partners and sponsors who helped bring the project to life. Organizers said the market will serve as a place to gather while supporting local farmers, artisans and small businesses.

“You’ll be able to get produce — tomatoes, garden items, things of that nature, local honey, potentially,” an organizer said. “So it’s going to really bring fresh produce to our community, and we’re excited about having the availability in that.”

The market will run in season on Thursdays and Fridays.
