No Careless Outdoor Burning

Hardin County Fire crews have had multiple calls this weekend due to unattended or careless burning. As conditions remain dry and fire risk stays elevated, outdoor burning is NOT allowed without a permit.

Before you burn:

  • You MUST obtain a burn permit
  •  Check current weather and wind conditions
  •  Never leave a fire unattended
  •  Have water and tools ready to extinguish

Careless burning can quickly get out of control, putting lives, homes, and our community at risk.

Let’s do our part to prevent wildfires and keep Hardin County safe.

Contact the TN Department of Forestry to obtain a burn permit.
