Florida man pulled over by troopers after multiple calls about missiles in his truck bed
TAMPA, Fla. (Gray News) — Troopers in Florida were surprised to see what they believed to be missiles mounted on a man’s pickup truck.
Florida Highway Patrol Tampa said it received multiple calls from drivers on Interstate 4 about the truck Sunday.
Troopers pulled the truck over on SR-39 near Plant City and nicknamed the driver “Rocket Man.”
Troopers determined the “missiles” were actually plastic props used for shows and events.
Officials said that after determining everything was safe, they gave the driver suggestions on how to transport the props so they would not scare other drivers.
