Community joins East Jackson town hall meeting

JACKSON, Tenn. — Madison County Commissioner Tina Mercer, along with Commissioner William Martin and Jackson City Councilman Johnny Dodd, hosted an East Jackson Town Hall meeting Tuesday afternoon.

The event was open to the public.  Attendees could ask questions, share concerns, and participate in an open discussion focused on the needs and priorities of County Commission District 1 and City Council District 2.

“We wanted to have a town hall just to bring the constituency up on the issues that are coming from the county and the city. The county just had an audit, and the city has a different project that they’re working on, infrastructure, as well as the county community,” Mercer said.

Topics discussed included the school system, roads, and infrastructure.
