Jackson Exchange Club presents the ‘Man of the Year’ award
JACKSON, Tenn.–One organization recognizes a local man for his service to the city of Jackson.
Tuesday evening, at the Old Country Store, the Jackson Exchange Club held the 80th annual dinner and ‘Man of the Year’ celebration.
Club president Regetta Nelson shares the values they look for when selecting each ‘Man of the Year’.
“When we are looking for our ‘Man of the Year’, we are looking for someone who is devoted to our community, who has done things in the community as far as the prevention of child abuse and anything they can do to help further our club and our mission,” said Nelson.
Several former ‘Man of the Year award recipients were in attendance.
Speakers at the event included the two most recent ‘Man of the Year’ winners: 2024 winner, Senator Ed Jackson and 2023 winner, City Councilman Frank McMeen. It was councilman McMeen that had the honor of introducing the 2025 Jackson ‘Man of the Year’, Stan Harris.
Harris, a lifelong Jackson resident, joins the ranks of the 79 other men who went above and beyond in their community.
“I was thinking back, I grew up in Jackson and it brought back so many memories of so many outstanding citizens and to now be a part of that group is the greatest honor of my life,” said Harris.
