Record Highs Later in the Week, Cold Front to Crash Through on Friday!
WBBJ 7 Forecast Update
WBBJ 7 Forecast Update:
Each day this week temperatures are going to be warmer than the previous day until Friday. The next front coming in Friday will bring a 25° temperature drop again from Thursday to Saturday. The system will NOT be bringing any severe weather our way and showers chances are only 30% as of now. Before we get to Friday, another round of record highs look to be on the way for Thursday, but will we hit 90° for the first time since last October 1st? Catch the full forecast right here!

THIS WEEK:
Tuesday was a transitional day as a weak front drifted back through. This kept some clouds around off and on today. The winds came out of the east most of the day but could turn to the south Tuesday night. Tuesday highs reached the upper 60s to near 70° and Tuesday night lows will fall down to around 50°. The warm up kicks in on Wednesday with highs reaching the upper 70s to near 80°. The winds will be light and come out of the south during the day. We should see plenty of sunshine as well but there will be some clouds lingering around into the afternoon. Dry weather is expected to continue and Wednesday night lows will fall down to the low 60s due to the increase in humidity from the southerly winds.

Another day of possible record highs is coming in on Thursday. The record is 86° in 2020 and the current forecast is 87° and could climb higher as the week goes on. Expect another mostly sunny day and it will be a little humid for this time of the year as well. Thursday night lows will fall down to around 60° and the winds will kick up some late in the day as the next front gets a little closer.

The next front in the forecast is going to pass late in the day on Friday. As the front passes, some showers or weak storms appear possible but severe weather seems unlikely at this time for West Tennessee. Some of the forecast data has the rain missing up completely from the front, but that also seems unlikely that we won’t see some showers Friday afternoon and evening. Friday highs will only reach the low to mid 70s as clouds will be sticking around most of the day and the showers could show up before we can reach the 80s. Friday night lows will fall down into the upper 30s, possibly cold enough for a frost if the skies can clear out by Saturday morning. The rain should be gone by sunrise Saturday as well.

THIS WEEKEND:
We are looking at a much cooler weekend across the Mid South than the previous weekend but it still looks like it is going to be quite nice. Highs on Saturday will reach the low 60s after starting out the morning in the 30s. Expect a sunny day for the most part on Saturday with the low humidity due to the northeast breeze moving in behind Friday’s front. Saturday night will be a little cool with lows falling down to around 40° on Sunday morning. The winds will try to change back to the southeast during the day on Sunday and that will bring temperatures back into the low to mid 70s by Sunday afternoon. A few more clouds will move in on Sunday but we should still see a mostly sunny day. Sunday night lows will drop down to the low 50s to kick off next week. The weekend looks like it is going to be dry for everyone in our viewing area as of now.
