Free teen driver training program returns to Jackson in April

JACKSON, Tenn. — Ford Driving Skills for Life will return to Jackson on April 18, 2026, at The Ballpark at Jackson.

The free training program puts teenagers behind the wheel of a Ford Mustang in a controlled environment with professional instructors. The focus is on learning real-world essential skills for safe driving.

Teens will get hands-on experience with skid control, emergency braking, vehicle handling and distracted driving awareness.

Participants will take on real driving scenarios in a controlled environment designed to build confidence and sharpen instincts. The program serves first-time drivers and those looking to advance their skills.

Spaces are limited. Parents can register their teens here.

“We look forward to a great event in Jackson, empowering our young drivers with the skills they need for a lifetime of safe driving,” said Ford Community Relations Director Gabby Bruno.

Parents and guardians are invited to join a ride-and-drive experience to test new Ford electric vehicles.

Ford Driving Skills for Life is in its third decade. The program addresses critical factors that contribute to teen crashes, including inexperience, vehicle handling, distracted driving and impaired driving.

The event will be held at 4 Fun Place, Jackson.
