State agencies alert Tennesseans to fraudulent traffic violation texts
JACKSON, Tenn. — The Tennessee Department of Safety and Tennessee Driver Services are warning Tennesseans about a new scam involving fraudulent text messages.
The messages contains a final notice urging Tennesseans to pay their traffic violation fees ordered by the court. These messages are not from the Tennessee Department of Safety or Tennessee Driver Services.

The Tennessee Department of Safety and Tennessee Drivers Services will never send messages about overdue traffic fines, fees, payments, or license suspensions.
