Fatal wreck involving out-of-county school bus along Highway 70 in Carroll County, THP confirms

CARROLL COUNTY, Tenn. — A fatal crash involving a Montgomery County Schools bus and another vehicle occurred along Highway 70 between Leach and Cedar Grove.

Tennessee Highway Patrol confirmed on social media the crash is fatal.

Montgomery County Schools confirmed one of their buses was involved in the crash. According to Mayor Wes Golden’s office, the bus was from Kenwood Middle School.

Heavy traffic delays are reported in the area according to TDOT SmartWay map.

Officials are actively working to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
