JSCC hosts its 2nd annual Egg Hunt
JACKSON, Tenn.— Jackson State Community College is making Easter “EGG-tra” special for some local kids.
The JSCC Easter Egg Hunt took place Saturday morning beginning at 10 on campus in Jackson.
Students from the athletic department along with staff volunteered their time to help with the event. Over 30,000 eggs were up for grabs on the JSCC Field.
Kids of all ages and their families were invited to participate in the hunt, enjoy some music, or join in some fun games.
Participants were even invited to stay and watch the free JSCC baseball game happening at noon.
“All of our student athletes actually contribute to this event throughout the course of the weeks leading up to it they’ve all volunteered in filling eggs and things of that nature throughout the day in between practices, you know classes and things of that nature,” said Dr. Kevin Lynum, JSCC Athletic Director.
This is the second year for the JSCC egg hunt which is free for the community to enjoy.
