DOUGLAS, Ga. (WALB/Gray News) – A Georgia minister has been arrested after allegedly making inappropriate contact with a McDonald’s employee last week.
According to the Douglas Police Department, 63-year-old Keith Lamar Brinson has been charged with simple battery in connection with the investigation.
Officers said a 20-year-old McDonald’s worker reported that a customer, identified as Brinson, had touched her inappropriately while she was on her lunch break at the restaurant.
The woman told officers that Brinson approached her from behind, made unwanted physical contact and a comment toward her. She reported feeling unsafe and left the workplace shortly after.
A witness told police she observed Brinson leaning over the woman and touching her lower back.
Officers said they made contact with Brinson after he returned to the restaurant. He admitted to speaking with the worker but denied any physical contact, police said.
Douglas authorities said surveillance footage was unavailable because the restaurant’s camera system was down, but based on witness statements and the investigation, Brinson was taken into custody.
