Agents seize drugs, over $5,500 in cash during Tiptonville raid

PRESS RELEASE FROM WEST TENNESSEE DRUG TASK FORCE:

LAKE COUNTY, Tenn — Monday morning, agents from the 29th District out of Lake County served a search warrant on an apartment in the 500 block of Cherry Street in Tiptonville, pursuant to a drug investigation.

During the search, agents seized nearly 1/2 oz. of cocaine, 1/2 lb. of marijuana, electronic scales, sandwich bags for repackaging and $5,692.00 in suspected drug proceeds.

One male was arrested on charges of possessing a schedule II and VI controlled substance with intent to manufacture, deliver or sell and possession of drug paraphernalia and is currently in jail pending arraignment.

Agents were assisted by the Tiptonville Police Department and the Lake County Sheriff’s Department. This case is being prosecuted by the office of the District Attorney General, 29th Judicial District, Danny Goodman, Jr.
