Hardeman County Extension Day, open house held in Bolivar

HARDEMAN COUNTY, Tenn. — The Hardeman County Extension Office recently opened its doors to show how it serves the community.

From agriculture to youth programs to healthy living, neighbors were invited to stop by, ask questions and learn about programs for all ages.

The event highlighted 4-H youth development, Master Gardener and Horticulture programs, family and consumer science, row crop production, the Master Beef Program and other projects.

“We wanted to have an event for the community here in Hardeman County, it’s an open house where we have booths of what all extension does, and just be with the farmers this year. Planting season is coming up so think about them. Other than that, 4-H camp is coming up this summer and we’ll be busy with growing season,” said Clint Plunk with UT Extension.

Guests also enjoyed a free lunch and door prizes.
