Jackson Police Department investigating death of 19-year-old

JACKSON, Tenn. — The Jackson Police Department is currently investigating the death of a 19-year-old male.

At approximately 6:50 a.m., officers responded to a residence in the 180 block of Cartmell Street following a report of a man suffering from a gunshot wound. Upon arrival, officers determined that the victim had already succumbed to his injuries.

The roads around the area of the home are blocked off by police and crime scene tape.

This remains an active and ongoing investigation.
