Wet Weather Coming on Saturday, Cooler but Dry Weather Easter Sunday
WBBJ 7 Forecast Update
WBBJ 7 Forecast Update:
Our March officially ended up as the 2nd warmest on record in Jackson. We tied or set records for 5 days and only had 4 days below average for the entire month. We averaged over 11° above average per day in the high temperature department. The only year warmer since we have been keeping records was back in 2012.
The weather is going to be perfect this evening for all of West Tennessee. But changes are on the way for the weekend. If you have outdoor plans on Saturday, please keep an eye on the weather and make sure you have a weather app to alert you to any storms that could be coming into your area. The earlier the better to avoid the storms. There still could be some showers in the morning but the main line isn’t expected to move through until the early afternoon hours. We could see some storms in Jackson by 1pm but they might hold off until closer to 3pm. Sunday is going to be cooler but dry. Sunday morning we will start out in the low 40s but reach the mid 60s by the afternoon. Catch the latest forecast breakdown coming up here.
THIS WEEK:

EASTER WEEKEND:
Changes in the weather are coming this weekend as the stalled out front to the north will finally get enough push from the north to pass south of us. As the front moves through, a round of showers and storms is expected. Some severe weather concerns cannot be ruled out yet, so we will need to keep a close eye on the timing of the system as that will play a big factor in the severity of the storms that may develop. As of now, Saturday afternoon and evening appear to be the most likely time to be impacted with showers and storms. They should clear out by Sunday morning for church service but the ground could be wet for Easter Egg hunts Sunday afternoon.
Highs on Saturday will reach the upper 70s before the clouds and showers move in. Expect a breezy day with the winds changing from the south to the northwest Saturday night. Saturday night lows will fall to the mid 40s before we kick off your Easter Sunday. Highs on Easter are forecast to only reach the mid 60s. There should be some sunshine returning during the day on Sunday but clouds are likely and maybe even some showers still in the early morning hours before the sun comes up. Please keep an eye on the forecast this week so you know what to expect and how to dress this weekend. Sunday night lows will fall down to around 40° but a frost of a freeze look unlikely at this time.

Temperatures next week will be a little cooler on Monday and Tuesday. Another weak dry front will look
to pass through sometime Monday night into Tuesday morning. Highs will reach up to around 70°
on Monday but fall to the mid 60s on Tuesday. We should warm back up to the mid 70s on Wednesday
and upper 70s to near 80° by Thursday. We should see plenty of sunshine for the first part of the week
as well. The winds will come out of the north on Monday and Tuesday but switch back to the south
by Wednesday into Thursday. Morning lows will be the low 40s for the first few nights but as the
humidity increases later in the week, morning lows will begin to climb by Thursday morning. Rain
chances appear to be low for the work week next week.
