Memphis Zoo issues update after bomb threat
MEMPHIS, Tenn.—The Memphis Zoo staff issues an update following an afternoon bomb threat.

UPDATE: At 2:21 p.m. on Saturday April 4th, officers responded to a bomb threat at Memphis Zoo. Officers cleared and checked the area and no bomb or weapon was located.
We appreciate the swift action of law enforcement to resolve this issue. Memphis Zoo will reopen Sunday, April 5th with enhanced security. The safety of our guests, staff, and animals continues to remain our top priority.

Memphis Zoo closes after anonymous bomb threat
MEMPHIS, Tenn.—The Memphis Zoo closed it’s door Saturday after receiving an anonymous bomb threat.
The announcement was made to social media Saturday afternoon. The building was evacuated and law enforcement was on scene at the facility.

“Out of an abundance of caution, Memphis Zoo is currently closed following an anonymous bomb threat. Additional updates will be given when there is more information available.”
The company says it will release further details as information becomes available.
