Mr. Lacy Franklin Clayton, 82, of Union City passed away 1:38 a.m. Monday, April 6, 2026, at his home.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Pastor Nick Wilson will officiate with burial to follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Wednesday.
Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
Lacy was born August 28, 1943, in Joiner, Arkansas, son of the late Cecil V. and Vivian Reedy (Barnes) Clayton. He was first married to Lois Dean (Doughten) Clayton. She passed away October 21, 1988. He then married Shelia Kay (Totty) Clayton March 24, 1989. She passed away August 2, 2025. Lacy was a veteran of the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy and Tennessee National Guard. He worked for the former Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company and was a longtime faithful member of Sunswept Baptist Church.
He is survived by two sons, Steve Clayton (Jeanette) of Dyersburg and Tommy Bruff (Shannon) of Murfreesboro; three daughters, Lara Clayton of Union City, Trya Clayton of Humboldt and Christy Moss of Union City, ten grandchildren; Shelby Sansone (Addison), Rebecca McCliman (Dean), Whitney Hogg, Frank Hogg, Tiffany Martin, Ryker Clayton (Destiny), Lacey Clayton, Ashlyn Moss, Autumn Clouse (Kyle) and Weston Bruff; sixteen great grandchildren; and one brother, Fred Clayton (Sue) of Paris.
He was also preceded in death by one son, Patrick Clayton; one granddaughter, Amber Hogg; one sisters, Kathy Bone; and one brother, Cecil Clayton
